FACTORS TO CONSINDER BEFORE SETTING UP DRIP IRRIGATION IN YOUR FARM

Not everyone can afford drip irrigation systems in our lands. There are means one can use n serve the same purpose as drips should do despite them being the best, there are factors one has to put into considerations before buying the drips accessories n laying them in your farm.

1)WATER QUALITY

As we all know without water one can't carry out agribusiness despite having all other resources a crop may require but one should know that if going for drips your water has to have the best quality. This can be achieved by application of the filtration system in your drip water source.

2)TOPOGRAPHY.

This is determined by how hilly flat or meander your farm is. This is what will also determine how high you will raise your water tower if you are using gravity.
This is also where you got to ensure your beds are levered to allow constant water flow.

3)DRIP EMMITTER FLOW LATE

Not every drip tape has the same water flow rate n this together with the type of crop to be grown will determine the capacity of water being taken by either the main n sub pipes connecting the drip tapes n the water source.

4)SOIL TEXTURE.
This will determine the water holding capacity in the soil n this will guide you on frequent will you water your crop n also it can determine the spacing of your drips emmitters to be used.

5)TYPE OF CROP TO BE GROWN.

To all our esteemed clients drips are not installated depending with the crop you intend to plant at that particular season. One has to put into consideration that you may need to crop rotate n the crop you intend to plant next season spacing may not varry with what you had the previous season.
